Spain Strikes Down 65,000 Airbnb Listings

Spain’s Consumer Rights Ministry has mandated that Airbnb Inc. remove more than 65,000 listings from its platform. The government asserts that these listings are exacerbating the country’s housing crisis by violating crucial regulations designed to protect citizens and ensure fair access to housing.

Consumer Rights Minister, is determined to address the “lack of control” and “illegality” in the holiday rental industry. He declared, “No more excuses. Enough with protecting those who make a business out of the right to housing in our country.”
